Come stay with us in our cozy cottage "Gillie Getaway", overlooking the harbour in the unique fishing village of Dingwall, Nova Scotia. Located 2km off the Cabot Trail, Gillie Getaway is a two-story, two-bedroom cottage with a fully equipped kitchen and four piece bath.
In close proximity to Gillie Getaway many summer, winter and fall activities are here for you to enjoy.
Strolling on one of our many beaches, whale watching on various tours, hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and golfing at Highlands Links are some of your summer choices. Also for your summer pleasure are weekly Cape Breton Ceilidhs and classical performances at the famous Octagon Arts Centre.
In the Fall, the world-famous Celtic Colours Festival happens here on Cape Breton Island, with many of the shows located very close to the cottage. Enjoy the spectacular colours while hiking the Highlands or our spectacular entertainment while participating in the numerous Celtic Colours concerts.
When winter settles in, the abundance of snow enables you to have lots of fun outdoors. Snowshoeing, downhill skiing at Ski Cape Smokey, and cross-country skiing at North Highlands Nordic and various other trails are some popular activities, not to mention simply enjoying the pristine beauty of the Cape Breton Highlands.

- $110.00 CAD for 1-2 people
- $5.00 CAD per extra person
To secure reservations, a deposit is required. Cash or travellers cheques only. Reservations can be booked by calling 1-902-383-2748 or by emailing us at info@gilliegetaway.com.
How to Find Us
Gillie Getaway can be located by exiting into Dingwall, off the Cabot Trail. The exit is adjacent to an Irving gas station. After driving approximately 2km -just over a mile- you will find Gillie Getaway on the right, just past the church. The map below will help you find your way:
